10 Weeks to Adulthood: Ideal for those looking to accelerate their dogs progress!

Have you ever wished your dog could be professionally trained but couldn’t bear the thought of sending him away?

Day School is the solution you are looking for! Take The Lead will train your dog during the day and you can enjoy a mentally and physically tired dog each night.

Day Train and Play is ideal for those looking to accelerate their dogs progress, or are dealing with a particular problem behavior. Through leadership, structure and consistency, your dog will learn a foundation of obedience and behavior, break old habits and learn more appropriate ones. Like your children who go to school, we provide daily structure, rules, and learning as well as exercise, socialization, and playtime.

After each week of day school, we work with you to transfer the tools and techniques to promote success at home. You can choose between one and four days per week.

Your dog will learn the following:

  • Socialization with dogs and people in the neighborhood and environment
  • Obedience Training- sit/stay down/stay place/stay come heel
  • Calm on command
  • Confidence building
  • “Off” switch
  • “No” command to stop unwanted behavior
  • Manners and impulse control
  • Waiting at thresholds (crate, door, gate)

We will also focus on minor behavior issues, such as:

  • Jumping, Nipping, Mouthing
  • Leash Reactivity
  • Selective Listening
  • Counter-Surfing
  • Leash Biting/Chewing

Included in the Train and Play:

  • Private lessons to transfer the training
  • Prong collar or slip lead
  • Dog cot
  • Video & Photo Updates

  • *Drop off and pick up times Monday Through Thursday are discussed individually with each client.
  • *It usually takes longer than a traditional board and train since your dog will be going home every day and “practicing” some of the unwanted behaviors that brought him to our program.
  • *Practice and maintenance at home is needed for lasting results.

Rates

Weekly Monday Through Thursday:

  • Day School $80
  • Pack of 5 $375 ($75/day)
  • Pack of 10 $700 ($70/day)
  • *Packs can be used in any combination Monday Through Thursday.

Boarding:

If your dog trained with Take The Lead, we offer Boarding while you are away. Your dog lives in our home and gets daily pack walks and playtime with other Take The Lead dogs. We always reinforce the training and behaviors your dog has learned.
